Sports Prophet Deadline: So you think you know who will win the all Ireland, the heineken cup and the FA cup this year along with other sporting events, then sportsprophet is for you. Listowel Emmets is running its own individual league for it's signed up members and the league is based on a set of predictions for a defined number of sporting events ( that take place throughout the year. Each signed up member will submit a set of predictions either online or manually and the entry is 20 euro. The top three performing members with the most points accumulated in their respective league will win cash prizes of €500, €200, €100 -  for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. 

To sign up go to and choose Listowel Emmets GAA Club from the dropdown menu, enter your details and click proceed to step 2, pick the winners of the sporting events and submit. The closing date for online submissions is 25 Feb 2011 and the 20 euro must be collected/given to committee members before this date. Try your luck. 

Listowel Emmets U12s will train every Thursday evening from 6pm to 7pm at the Community Centre hall, new members always welcome 

Membership of Listowel Emmets is now open. Full Membership for non playing members and OAPs is €50. Minor membership €40. All payable to John James Buckley. Direct Debits are also available on request. 

Scór na bPaistí: The North Kerry Football Board Scor na bPaistí took place last Sunday 20th February in the Tintean Theatre in Ballybunion to a packed house.  Listowel Emmets were well represented on the night, taking part in 6 out of 8 categories. Congratulations to Saoirse Kennedy who came 1st in the solo singing amongst very stiff opposition from 7 other competitors. Saoirse sang Oilean a gaelic lement and was accompanied on the guitar by Aoife Trench. Saoirse now goes forward to the County Semi Final which will take place in Abbeydorney 12th March @ 2.30pm. A huge thank you and well done to the other participants for their commitment and taking part as follows: Ballad Group:Aoife Moloney, Emily McCarthy, Olivia Stack, Rachel Costello, Instrumental Music: Meabh Trench, Niamh O Sullivan, Oran Pierse, Saoirse Kennedy, Recitation: Seamus O Sullivan, Question Time: Oran Pierse, Conor Galvin, Daniel Sheehan, Shawn Carey, Set Dancing: Saoirse Kennedy, Niamh O Sullivan, Erin Halpin, Emily McCarthy, Edel Quinn, Emma Houlihan, Andrea Moriarty, Meabh Trench. Despite their best efforts they were not the judges choice on the night. The Club would like to express sincere gratitude to Jacinta Kennedy, Aoife Trench, Karen Trench, Brenda Pierse, Krystal Stack, Frances Kennedy and John Stack for so freely giving of their time, coaching all the participants for the event on Sunday night. Listowel Emmets G.A.A Club will hold a Progressive 41 Card Drive at their Clubhouse at Frank Sheehy Park Listowel every Wednesday night at 9pm. Don't forget to bring a friend 

Listowel Emmets G.A.A and Emmets Ladies Club would like to wish David O'Brien and Mary Beades every good wish on their wedding this weekend and for the future. 

Fixtures & Results: 

Listowel Emmets are calling all Emmets Gaels to come out and support our senior team as they take on Tarbert for the second time to hold onto their North KerryChampionship. North Kerry Championships are never won easy and this game will be no different to the drawn game. We hope to see you all in Moyvane on Sunday 27th February in full voice and colour. Throw in 2.30pm. 

Listowel Emmets Junior Ladies had a great start to their year with a good win over Causeway on Sunday last in Listowel they now meet with Strand Road next weekend and the Senior Girls meet with Na Gaeil both games will take place in Tralee
