Emmets U14s North Kerry League Champions

Listowel Emmets U14s were crowned North Kerry League winners on Friday night last 7th September in Ballylongford where they overcame old rivals Ballydonoghue in the final. Emmets found themselves on the back foot in the opening ten minutes as Ballydonoghue went 1-02 to 0-2 up in the first five minutes, Emmets settled into the game with Tom Melvin acting as play maker and Sam Tarrant taking some fine scores saw Emmets lead at the break 1-05 to 1-03. On the resumption Emmets really opened up with Brian Sweeney and Tom Melvin dominated the centre of the field and allowed fast ball into the forward line who were able to punish their oppents with Sam Tarrant taking a fine tally of 3-02 , Jack Healy 1.0, Captain Connor Beasley 1.01, Darren Loughane 1.0, sub John Leahy 1.0, and the two a piece fromTom Melvin and Bryan Sweeney. Emmets held Ballydonoghue scoreless in the second half until Cian O'Mahony pointed a free in the dying minutes. Emmets ran out convincing winners on a scoreline of 8-09 to 1-04.
