Annual Flag Day will take place this weekend Listowel Emmets will hold their annual Flag day on Saturday 8th December, any support you can give on the day will be greatly appreciated. Contact John James Buckley for further details.
Sympathies: Listowel Emmets would like extend their deepest sympathies to the McKenna and Mulvihill families of Lyre and mountcoal on the recent death of Eileen McKenna. Ar dheis dé go raibh a anam usail.
COISTE SCOR NA NOG CHIARRAI
Going by the high standard of competition at both County Semi Finals recently followers of Scor should be in for a great afternoons entertaintment  at this Sundays December 9th. County Finals of Coiste Scor Na Nog Chiarrai  to be staged at the Tintean Theatre, Ballybunion  commencing at 2pm sharp. There will be a wide spread of Districts Boards taking part which should add further to the enjoyment of the event; South Kerry, Mid Kerry, West Kerry, North Kerry Hurling, North Kerry Football, Tralee/St.Brendans, East Kerry and Castleisland District are the District Boards involved. All winners of each category will then go forward to the Munster Semi Finals which will go ahead on Ovens County Cork on Sunday January 6th. We would like to wish Emmets Trath na gCeisteanna the very best of luck in Sunday's final. They have done their club, coach and town very proud so we hope they can continue on their winning way this week. Go néirí an tádh le Shawn Carey, Daniel Sheehan agus Ciarán Pierse.
Emmets Ladies
Listowel Emmets Ladies held their A.G.M. at Frank Sheehy Park on Sunday last 2nd December 2012.
In his report Chairman Kevin O’Sullivan highlighted the club’s achievements and outlined the objectives for 2013. Among these will be the introduction of a five development plan to ensure the continuing growth of the club. Team reports were presented by all the team managers and Rose Wall as treasurer presented a very comprehensive financial report, recognizing the contribution of everyone in the fundraising events during the year.
Club sponsors Charlie Cantillon from Centra and Christy Walsh were thanked by Chairman Kevin O’Sullivan for their support.
In her report outgoing club secretary Mary Beads gave particular mention to all those who assisted in preparing teams during the year and to the Senior GAA Club for the use of facilities at Frank Sheehy Park.
