North Kerry League Division 3: Listowel Emmets 3-13 Movyane 2-10

The game started at a frantic pace with both teams really up for this one. Eddie Joe Walsh from play and John James Buckley (2 frees) kicked Listowel in front with a 3 point advantage. However Moyvane came storming back 3 unanswered scores. Points continued to be exchanged in the opening 20 mins until two blows inflicted by Moyvane in the form of two goals put the home side up by 5 points. Listowel clawed it back to two to leave Moyvane leading at the interval.

The home side went further ahead at the start of the first half with two unanswered points. However a well taken goal by Listowel corner forward Ricky Hanley left Listowel trailing by 1. Points from Shane Quinn, John James Buckley, Eddie Joe and Ricky Halpin put Listowel in a strong position. Moyvane in turn popped over 2 points in return However, a second goal from livewire Ricky Hanley proved a killer blow for Moyvane. While the home side kept plugging away and a fine save from Listowel keeper Keith Hughes kept them out a third and final goal by Listowels  Ricky Halpin was the final nail in the coffin for Moyvane. Listowel ran out winners and while the scoreline says differently this was a tight affair. Best for Listowel were Shane Quinn, Conor O Neill and Ricky Hanley who gave the Moyvane backs a hard time of it.
