Coiste na nÓg Christmas Raffle

Listowel Emmets Coiste na nÓg Christmas Raffle. 1st Prize €200 Christmas Hamper, 2nd Prize €100 Christmas Hamper, 3rd Prize €100 Christmas Hamper, 4th Prize €50 Shopping Voucher, 5th Prize €50 Shopping Voucher. North Kerry Championship

Minor Emmets V Knock/Brosna in the semi final of the North Kerry Minor Championship on Saturday 10th December at 2pm in Mountcoal


Emmets V Knock/Brosna in the final of the 2010 North Kerry U21 Championship due to be played before the North Kerry Championship final on Sunday 18th December, venue TBC.


Emmets took on Finuge in far from idyllic conditions in a rain and hail soaked Tarbert on Sunday last in the North Kerry Semi Final. In a game that failed to live up to expectations, tempers bubbled throughout with a very unsavoury finish to the first half. Finuge opened the scoring with points from Eamonn Fitzmaurice, while Emmets struggled in the opening quarter to find their feet with heavy under foot conditions, they finally opened their scoring with a free from Noel Kennelly. Followed by point from Conor Cox, Finuge once again got on the scoring sheet with a point from Reggie Galvin. The score of the game came when Brian McGuire on a darting run collected ball from Denis Walsh and carried the length of the field to put a fine point over the bar. leaving half time score Emmets 0-4 Finuge 0-4

Finuge got off to the best start possible in the second half where Finuge's danger man Fitzmaurice fired to the roof of the Emmets net. Emmets had their chances with Cox's two attempts directly after trickling wide, Finuge surged forward again in their droves as a tiring Emmets continued to battle on Fitzmaurice once again their danger man was award a penalty but his effort was saved by the crossbar, Emmets surged forward again only to see their attempt end up in the hands of Chris Allen. Emmets rallied again with two unanswered frees by Noel Kennelly. However, Paul Galvin found himself in the right position as the clock tick down and sliced Finuge's insurance point over the bar ending Emmets dream of appearing in their 7th final in 11 years. Final Score Emmets 0-7 Finuge 1-6
