Despite the narrow loss vs Mayo in the National League it was fantastic again to see both Conor Cox and Brian Maguire lining out for their county last Sunday.
Emmets Ladies:
Congratulations to Savannah McCarthy who won the FAI International Football Award U17 Player of the Year. An outstanding athlete and role model this amazing achievement is richly deserved.
Well done to the Kerry Ladies in their exciting win over Cork last weekend. Final score Kerry 1-08 Cork 1-07.
Our U12’s were very disappointed to have their opening season game cancelled last weekend and now eagerly await their matches in Dingle this week. Listowel Lions Div. 1 and Listowel Tigers Div. 3 will both play away to Corca Dhuibhne. Details to be confirmed later this week. Best of luck girls!
The arrival of March means it is not long now until the Saturday Morning Club resumes. We are all set to go on March 22nd and look forward to seeing everyone back at Frank Sheehy Park.
Listowel Gaelic4Mothers+Others are looking for a coach for 2014. The Ladies Gaelic Football association are hosting a training session for coaches and coordinators for those who are interested.
Emmets Ladies are working with the Men’s club in selling tickets for the monthly draw fundraiser for the sportsfield. We are very fortunate to have fantastic facilities here in Listowel. Frank Sheehy Park hosts all our girls home games, football blitz’s, summer tournaments, Saturday Morning Club and Awards nights. All our registered players will be contacted in the coming weeks in regards to the monthly draw. Tickets are €60 for the year with €900 in monthly prizes. The ticket can be paid in full or in installments with the option of  2 payments of €30 or 3 payments of €20.
