Emmets Progressive 41 Card Drive continues in Frank Sheehy Park every Wednesday night from 9pm. Don't forget to bring a friend.

2012 Listowel Emmets Easter Texas Hold'em: Listowel Emmets will hold a Texas Hold'em Poker Night on Good Friday April 06th at the Clubhouse. Senior Club Results
The (B) team defeated Ballydonoghue in Division 3 of the North Kerry League on a 4-10 to 2-08 score line. Michéal Lynch, David Ryan, Mike Dillon and Eddie Joe Walsh were the goal scorers.
The (C) were defeated by Ballylongford (B) in Division 4 of the North Kerry League.
Munster U-21 Final
Well done to Conor Cox who scored a magnificent 1-07 for the Kerry U-21’s in the Munster Semi-Final against Waterford in Tralee last Wednesday night. Kerry ran out convincing winners on a shoreline of 4-26 to 1-04. Conor had an outstanding game and everybody in the Listowel Emmets GAA Club is very proud of him. Kerry now meet Cork in the Munster U-21 Final in Austin Stack - Tralee on Wednesday April 11th at 7.30 P.M. This is a game not to be missed and hopefully a big Listowel contingent will go along to support Conor and the Kerry team as they attempt to win the Munster Championship for the first time since 2008.

Listowel Emmets Ladies

ANNUAL SOCIAL The Emmets ladies social will take place on Saturday 14th April in the Listowel Arms Hotel at 8.00 P.M. Back by popular demand, The Promise will provide the lively entertainment following the buffet meal. This was a great night last year and all coaches, parents and friends of Listowel Emmets Ladies are encouraged to attend. Tickets at €20.00 can be purchased from Ann 087 9691324 or any committee member from Good Friday. They will be on sale at the senior ladies League Division 1 Semi-Final on Friday in Listowel.

RESULTS The Under 12 girls were defeated away to Austin Stacks 7-04 to 3-06 in the league on Sunday last, however a great second half performance will give the girls confidence for the coming games.

The Junior girls had a great victory against neighbours Cloumacon in the County League on Sunday in Listowel. Amy Carmody who made a return to football after a long lay off with injury put in a performance worthy of player of the match.

FIXTURES The Senior team will play in their first ever Division 1 league semi final on Good Friday against Sneem-Kenmare at home. This game will be played at 5.00 P.M. so please come out to support the team.

The Junior team have a busy week ahead with two away games, the first on Thursday against Ballyduff at 7.00 P.M. and Sunday at 12.00 P.M. against John Mitchel's.

The Under 14s will play their first game of the season against Duagh on Sunday, time to be confirmed.

The SATURDAY MORNING CLUB continues every weekend at 10.30am. Last weekend there was a good turnout with a big increase in the under 8’s and lots more are welcome. This is a fantastic opportunity for young girls to get regular fun exercise and to build long lasting friendships through the team.

CONGRATULATIONS Listowel Emmets Ladies are extremely proud of Savannah McCarthy who has been awarded the captaincy of the Irish under 15 schools soccer team. The team plays this week in an international tournament in Dublin. This is a fantastic achievement for Savannah to have been chosen as captain and testament to her hard work for many years.

Emmets Coiste na nÓg

Under 6's Emmets are calling all under 6 boys and girls to the Community Centre on Thursday next the 04th April for a hour of fun filled football from 5pm - 6pm. No previous football skills required just bring yourself and your runners for a whole lot of fun while you learn some of the basics of gaelic football.

Emmets Saturday Morning Club took off with great excitement on Saturday Morning last with Frank Sheehy Park a hive of activity with all the kids wearing their new Emmets football gloves which they received at registration. If you are aged between 7years and 10 years you can spend a great hour and a half learning the basic skills of gaelic football in a fun environment. Hope to see you all there from 10.30am -12noon on Saturday and don't forget to bring a friend.

U14 County League Emmets got off to a winning start in the County League Div 1 with a good victory over near neighbours St Senans on a score line of 7-11 to 1-04. This was a good team performance by the boys on the night , those to impress were John Leahy, Niall Collins, Seán Joy, Tom Melvin, Sam Tarrant and Bryan Sweeney. Emmets Team Glynn Carey , Seán Joy, Niall Collins, Feidlim Roberts, Ciaran Pierce, Bryan Sweeney, Ciaran O Connor, Tom Melvin, Darren Loughnane, John Leahy, Oran Pierce, Thomas Doherty, Sam Tarrant, Jack Healy, Robert Smith. Daniel Sheehan, John Roche, Adam Mulvihill, Mickey Hartnett, Lorcan Moloney, Kevin O Connor, Conor Beasley. Listowel Emmets would like to send a speedy recovery to Niall Collins who fractured his hand on Friday, Niall plays a big part within the U14 Team and we hope to see him back very soon.

U16 North Kerry League On Monday night last Emmets were thought a lesson in gaelic football by Ballydonoghue who powered past the Listowel side on a scoreline of Emmets 4-04 Ballydonoghue 6-09.
