Minor North Kerry League Semi Final:
Listowel Emmets 2.12 v Moyvne/Tarbert 4.05
This game was played last Saturday morning in Ballylongford in conditions that resembled the month of July with referee Eamon Moran Ballydonoghue overseeing matters.  This was a game of two halves with Listowel Emmets scoring 2.11 to Moyvane/Tarberts 0.02 pts.  What we all thought at the half time whistle was that the Emmets men were home and dry, but the ending was anything but predictable.  The two first half goals for Emmets coming from Brain Sweeney and Dara Hughes, with a total of 11pts coming from a spread of players the Emmets boys were moving well and playing as a unit, Moyvane/Tarbert in the other hand  just couldnt get a hold on the game only managing 2pts in the first half coming from Finbar Carrig and Andrew Dohery. Mid field was a vital area and on breaking ball Emmets were cleaning up, which in turn had the Moyvane/Tarbert boys fighting in defence to win the ball back. The half time whistle and the scoreline Emmets 2.11 v Moyvane/Tarbert 0.2pts
Second half and this is were the real match was played, with passion and determination giving the neutral a exhibition of exciting viewing.  With the move of the game bring full back Eamon O Flaherty Moyvane out into the mid field position which turned the game on its head.  The dominance for Emmets at mid field was no more.  This was Moyvane/Tarberts half scoring 4.03 to Emmets 0.01pts from a free, Moyvane/Tarberts goals coming from Joe Coulson 2 goals, Eamon O Flaherty and Andrew Doherty.  The Emmets men were lucky to hold out to win a the narrowest of margins.  To sum the second half the Emmets men sat back maybe thinking they had it won as were Moyvane/Tarbert were desperate and had to attack and leading that attack was Eamon O Flaherty a man of the match performance for me. So at the full time whistle a sigh of relief from Emmets and a sigh of disappointment of what if as they kicked it away at times.  So up next for Emmets in the final Ballydonoghue await.
Teams: Emmets: Eddie Horgan, Tom Mevlin, Sean Hannon (C), Sean Collins, John Keane, Niall Collins, Dara McCarthy, Brain Sweeney, Cathal Keane, Shay Mc Kenna, Calum Finnegan Dillion, Derek Dillion, Mark Kennedy, Dara Hughes, Jack Wall. subs Steven Kelly for Calum Finnegan Dillion, Micheal Mullin for Tom Mevlin, Con Gorman for Brain Sweeney, Jack Healy for Mark Kennedy.
