We hope to have another game this coming weekend. The amazing weather brought a great crowd out to Frank Sheehy Park on Friday last where the U12’s played Ballymacelligott in League. The Listowel team had contributions from the U10 panel due to the unavailability of some of the under 12’s and ended the game with a very significant win on a scoreline of 7-06 to 0-03.
U14’s continued their winning form with a comprehensive win over Ballyduff on Thursday last in the Garvey Group U14 County Football League Div 2. They will meet Dr. Crokes in the next round on June 3rd. Another excellent win for the girls who are having a fantastic season.
Listowel Emmets Ladies has been successful in its application for one of the 'Go Play Today' sports kits provided by the Olympic Council of Ireland and Irish Independent newspapers. The sports kit will be dispatched on or before the end of June. Many thanks to everyone for taking part in this promotion and for collecting the tokens. The sports Kit will be invaluable to the club in providing equipment to continue the development of all players in the club.
Any fear that the fine weather would reduce the numbers at our second night of Gaelic4Mothers&Others were unfounded and we had some new faces join us on Thursday last. Leah Dore made an impressive debut as coach ensuring that this programme will remain centred around the key aims of fun and participation in physical activity in a group, community setting. Training continues every Thursday in St Michaels at 8.00 P.M. Come along and bring a friend!
Listowel Emmets Ladies wish all students preparing for exams the best of luck in the coming weeks.
