2012 - All Ireland Junior Final

Well done Conor Cox and the Kerry Junior team who beat Mayo to win the All Ireland Junior title last Saturday in Ennis. Conor was absolutely brilliant scoring 8 points 6 of which came from play. Everybody in Listowel Emmets GAA Club is very proud of Conor. He is very dedicated and hopefully he has a bright future ahead of him.

2012 - North Kerry Intermediate Football Championship Final

Listowel Emmets (B) 1-12 Castleisland Desmonds (B) 2-11

Listowel Emmets and Castleisland Desmonds played out a thrilling contest in Finuge last Thursday night. Listowel were in front early on but fell behind when Castleisland came more into the game apparoacing Half-Time. Castleisland were in front at Half Time by 4 points 2-06 to 1-05. Listowel battled back and the sides were level on numerous occasions in the 2nd half but Castleisland finished strongly and held on to win by 2 points. Mike Dalton and all the panel can be very proud of the their gallant effort.

2012 Annual Jim Corridan Tournament
On Sunday next 02nd September Listowel Emmets will host the ninth annual Jim Corridan Tournament kindly sponsored by Eric & Berkie Browne of Browne Bookmakers. The Tournament will begin at 10 A.M. on Sunday morning where 8 teams will take to field with Canovee of Cork, returning to reclaim the title the won so gallantly at last year's tournament. It promises to be a great of football so if you are around its the place to be on Sunday. As a prequel to the Jim Corridan Tournament on Sunday the Junior Jim Corridan Tournament will take place on Saturday at 10.30 A.M. with a number of teams participating from all around North Kerry. Best of luck to all teams involved.
U14's:
Listowel Emmets U14's have qualified for the final of the North Kerry League due to be played on Monday 03rd September where they await theirs. Emmets went straight to the final after a great game of football was served up against old rivals St. Senan's in Frank Sheehy Park last Monday evening, with end to end football this was an entrawling game a credit to both teams. Emmets were eventual winners on a score line of 3-09 to 3-11. St. Senan's now meet Ballydonoghue in a play off for the semi final where the winners will meet Beale. Best of luck to the Emmets in the final.

Listowel Emmets Ladies

Listowel Emmets Ladies will host an End of Summer Party for players, coaches, parents and friends on Sunday September 2nd in Christy’s from 5pm till late, food included. We would love you to join us to celebrate a busy summer and some great achievements.

The Seniors were victorious against East Kerry in the Mary Jo Curran Cup Shield semi final last Tuesday. They await the outcome of the of the North Kerry v Laune Rangers game. They will play the winners in the final on Sunday September 2nd.

The Juniors defeated Beale in the Novice League last Sunday.

U16’s have one remaining game to play in the County League which will be away to Southern Gales on 31st August.

U14’s have some remaining North Kerry games to play in the coming weeks, training continues as normal.

U12’s Have a end of season trip away to Tuam on September 8th. Before their trip they will play Duagh in the North Kerry League.

U8’s are preparing for the Munster Bliz in Rathkeale on September 08th .

Preparations are underway for a Gaelic4Mothers+Others mini blitz in Listowel on September 29th. It is hoped to have a number of teams visit from Kerry and beyond.
