2013 McCarthy Brokers North Kerry Senior Football League Division 1 Final
Listowel Emmets 0-14 Brosna 0-10

Congratulations and well done to the Listowel Emmets Senior Panel and Management on winning the 2013 McCarthy Brokers North Kerry Senior Football League Division 1 Title. The lads have put in a massive effort since they started training last January. They have now been rewarded with their first title since winning the 2009 North Kerry Senior Football Championship. They have also qualified for the County Intermediate Semi-Final. This game will be played in a few weeks against St. Mary's Cahersiveen. Thanks very much to all our loyal supporters who have followed and supported the lads. Your support is always greatly appreciated.

2013 North Kerry Senior Football Chamionship Draw
The draw for the 2013 North Kerry Senior Football Championship will take place in McMunn's in Ballybunion at 8.00 P.M. on Wednesday 28th August.

Listowel Emmets Ladies
It has been a busy week for all teams with the Under-13s, U15’s and the seniors all playing. On Wednesday evening last the Under 15 has a comprehensive over Na Gaeil/Ballymac in the quarter final of the A county championship. Corca Dhuibhne, Fossa and Southern Gaels or Rathmore are the other semi finalist.

On Saturday evening last the Under 13 lost out to John Mitchells after extra time in the B county championship. Many of these girls will play in the up coming Uunder 14 North Kerry League. The U12's have a challenge match against Ballyduff on Tuesday September 2nd in Frank Sheehy Park at 7pm. The under 12's are preparing for the eagerly anticipated "trip away" on Saturday 14th when they will travel to Ennis to play Doora Barefield and then visit the Adventure Centre in Limerick City

The Under 16's have reached the final of the North Kerry League against Castleisland which is hoped to be played next week.

Listowel Emmets senior ladies advanced to the semi final of the Mary Jo Curran Cup following a 7-09 to 3-09 win over Rathmore in Frank Sheehy Park on Sunday. Following a slow start Listowel trailed for most of the first half until a goal from Meghan Fealey and a free brought the teams level just before half time. Listowel started the second half with greater urgency and built up a lead of 7 points with goals from Joanne Fitzgerald and Savannah McCarthy. However Rathmore recovered to reduce the deficit to 4 points but points from Laura Lavery, Caoimhe O Sullivan and Doireann Tarrant extended the advantage and goals from Aoife Shine, Doireann Tarrant and Savannah McCarthy saw Listowel finish off their valiant opponents. Team: Aoife Kennelly, Louise Horgan, Kate Sayers, Aoife Tarrant, Mary Beades, Maimie Flynn, Aoife Shine (1-01), Doireann Tarrant(1-01), Sarah O Brien, Savannah McCarthy (2-03), Caoimhe O Sullivan(0-01), Meghan Fealey (1-00), Joanne Fitzgerald (2-01) Subs:Laura Lavery (0-02) and Collette Foley.

The semi final opponents are Sneem/Kenmare or Miltown/Listry. The team have a great opportunity of reaching their third final for the year.

Congrats to Breda Lane who played for the Kerry Senior Ladies in the quarter final win over Mayo and they will now face arch rivals Cork in the semi final.

Coaching Course: Kerry Ladies Football are holding a Fundamentals Coaching Course on Saturday August 31st in Listowel Community Centre from 10-4. Anybody interested in attending this course should contact Joby Costello

Kerry Ladies have recently announced details of blitzes for the Under 10's and Listowel have been grouped with Castleisland, Duagh and Moyvane, with blitzes beginning on Saturday September 14th. This will be a great chance for the girls to get games to show the progress they have made this year.

Congrats to Collette Foley, Leah Henry and Saoirse Kennedy who represented Ireland in an international youth competition in Canada where they finished fourth in soccer.

All coaches are reminded that a meeting for all club coaches, mentors and selectors will take place on Sunday September 8th in the clubhouse at 6.30pm. It is very important that all are in attendance as details of the club development plan will be outlined on the night along with a review of the past few weeks action.

The next Monthly Draw will take place on Wednesday 04th September at the Clubhouse in Frank Sheehy Park. ,
