Listowel Emmets Monthly Draw
Commencing shortly, we will be running a monthly draw that will take place on the last Wednesday of each month at the Clubhouse. The 1st draw is taking place on Wednesday 27th of February. There will 2 draws made on this date. January and February's Draws will be drawn together on the night. The cost of the draw will be €5 per month which is less than the cost of a weekly Lottery Quickpick. The organising committee is currently selling tickets and we are encouraging people to sign up for a yearly ticket for €60 that will also include you in a special draw for 2 prizes of €100 each that will take place on the night of our first draw.
The annual prize fund will be €10,000 and there will be 8 guaranteed winners each month.
We fully appreciate the financial challenges facing our community at present but by supporting a successful Emmets Club, with players at all levels and ability, it will give the same community enormous pleasure now and in the years to come. We would like to acknowledge your support in the past and hope you will be equally generous again in supporting our club.

Well done to Listowel Emmets clubman Conor Cox who played an instrumental part in UCC reaching the Sigerson Cup Final last weekend. Conor scored 0-10 (0-07 from frees) in the Semi – Final against Athlone IT last Friday. Unfortunately in the final on Saturday UCC couldn’t rise to the occasion and were outclassed by a sharper DIT team. Conor can be very proud of his achievements with UCC. He scored a remarkable 23 points in UCC’s 4 games in the competition.

Listowel Emmets Ladies:
Emmets Ladies participated for the first time in the Paudie O’Sé Tournament last weekend. This was a great opportunity to play football wi to all our U12’s, U14’s, U16’s girls currently going for Kerry trials. th teams of outstanding caliber and to play two games in one day. Facing the reigning 2012 intermediate All-Ireland Champions Parnell's of London the Listowel girls performed very well to progress to the next phase of the tournament. A determined Listowel  put up a worthy opposition but playing against the Dublin Senior Champions, Foxrock Ladies they went down to a stronger side. Training continues Wednesday at 7pm and Saturday at 11am. Next game is away to Abbeydorney in Round 2 of the North Kerry League at 12.30 on Sunday March 3rd.

Please come and show support for our U12’s who will play Abbeydorney in their first game of the season in the North Kerry League at Frank Sheehy Park. Throw in at 11.00 A.M.
