Listowel Emmets Ladies
Gaelic4Mothers+Others has now started in Listowel. There was a  great  response to the first training session on Thursday last. The majority of women who participated had never played gaelic football before and as with any new experience there were a few apprehensions on what to expect. Without a doubt all who took part have said it was a great experience. This is as much a social initiative as a means for physical exercise. The training sessions are every Thursday from 8-9 P.M. at St Michael’s College.

The U12’s had a brilliant win over Keirns O’Rahilly’s last Friday evening on a scoreline of  6-08 to  5-02. There was a considerable turnout of girls from Listowel Emmets  with many of  the girls having played a match with their school earlier in the day.  The girls put in a fantastic performance reaping the rewards of all their hard work so far this year. Thank you to all the parents who came to the match, your support is much appreciated.

Under 8’s /10’s had their first game of the season away to Kerins O'Rahilly's on Saturday.  With 12 under 8’s and 15 under 10’s travelling to Tralee this was a great start to games for the girls. Thanks to all those who helped with transport on the day and to Kerins O’ Rahillys for hosting us on our first outing. Training continues on Saturdays at 10.30 in St Michaels.  The JB Keane league kicked off on Monday 21st with the second round taking place on Monday 28th in Listowel Emmets at 6.45 P.M. All girls under 18 and 10 are asked to attend.

The U14’s play their next game away to Ballyduff next weekend. U16s have outstanding North Kerry match against Castleisland to be played shortly. Training for senior and juniors will continue this week for upcoming competitions.
