Scór Lios Tuathail:

We were very proud to be asked to take part in the St Patricks Day Stage Festivities this year. We had 3 acts take part in the Festivities representing Scor Sinsear, Scor na Nog and Scor na bPaisti entertaining the large crowd that gathered in the Square before and after the St Patricks Day Parade. Well done and a huge thank you to everyone who participated in the La Le Padraig Festivities as follows: Donal Tydings - Scor Sinsear. Donal sang "The Hills Around Listowel" by our own local native the late Gary McMahon. Next up was our Scor na nOg Ballad Group who made it all the way to the County Final earlier this year and were just pipped at the post for a county medal - Leanne Tarrant, Sam Tarrant, Aoife Trench, Orla O Connell, unfortunately, Amy Scanlon was unavailable to sing with them on the day. They sang an Irish Ballad "Mo Ghile Mear". We rounded off the afternoons entertainment with our Scor na bPaisti entrant Seamus O Sullivan who told an Eamonn Kelly story called "Peig the Damsels Slate House". This went down a treat with the crowd keeping everyone highly entertained including our Minister for Arts Culture & Heritage Jimmy Deenihan and MEP Sean Kelly who were both very impressed with Seamus. Sean reckons Seamus is another Eamon Kelly in the making.

County Scór na bpaistí finals:

Next Sunday March 27th will be a very special day for all Scor enthuasists in North Kerry and more especially for all the participants who will be representing their respective Clubs in this years Scor na bPaisti County Finals which will be staged in the Tintean Theatre, Ballybunion with a starting time of 2.30pm sharp. Listowel Emmets are proud to be represented by Saoirse Kennedy, accompanied on guitar by Aoife Trench in the Solo Singing Category having come through both the District Board and County Semi Finals the past few weeks with flying colours.
