The John B Keane League

The 11th Annual John B Keane League kicked off on Monday night the 12th May where the Boro captained by Darragh Hudson and Megan Beehan had a fine start and stay a point clear at the top of the league table on 3 points. They gained a bonus point as they scored over 13 points! Listowel Independents had the better of the Blackcock Feather but with just two points seperating the teams at the final whistle saw Blackcock Feathers gain a bonus point. The Ashes and the Rural Rangers had a tough battle with Niall Horgan and Kelli McGrath's Rural Rangers getting the win there. The Ashes lost out by 3 points but just got in to gain a bonus point. It's all to play for so here's looking forward to Round 3 which will be played in Frank Sheehy Park on Monday 26th May at 6.45pm.

Emmets Ladies

The Saturday Morning Club continues at 10.30 in Frank Sheehy Park with all the girls looking forward to the upcoming John B. Keane League next month.

The U12’s have now completed  their games in Division 1 of the North Kerry League. Listowel Emmets finished 2nd in the League and will play Abbeydorney in the final later this year. The girls played their first match in Division 2 of the County League at home to Currow. Well done to all the girls who battled hard to win on a scoreline of 3-4 to 1-6.

The U14’s have continued with their strong performance in Division 2 of the County League with another win against Dingle last week. Their next game will be in Annascaul against Corca Dhuibhne.

The U16’s were disappointed to lose their first match of the County League away to Rathmore. In what was alway going to be a tough game for Listowel with a lot of the team unavailable to play, we are very grateful to the U14’s who stepped up and played in order for the game to go ahead.
