Saturday Morning Club

: The Emmets U12s continued their good spell in the County League with the A Team registering a comprehensive victory over Legion A at home on Sunday night last, going in at the break down by three points. They dug deep and rallied well to knock up a very impressive score difference. The B team drew with Legion B, with very little between these two evenly matched sides. Both the A and B team now play their final match in the county league away to Austin Stacks on Sunday next 24th June at 7pm. Best of luck to all involved.

: Emmets are in action in the u16 County League on Wednesday night next 27th June at home to Listry/Keel at 7.30pm.
Listowel Emmets Ladies
The U12s played Laune Rangers at  home last Monday and were unfortunate to lose by a goal. The final score was Listowel 3-03 Laune Rangers 4-03.  There are alot of positives to be taken from this game and if results go their way in the coming weeks that they may still qualify for the semi finals. Thank you to all the supporters who came to the game.  This week sees the girls take a trip to Currow who had a narrow victory over Miltown-Listry last week.
Maeve Gallagher & Aoife Lynch will represent Listowel Emmets Under 12 Girls in the Kerry Under 12 Girls Reward Initiative over the summer months with the first session taking place last Saturday in Killarney.
Congratulations to Meaghan Galvin and Norma O’Sullivan who played for Kerry in the Aisling McGing semi final against Meath last Sunday. Following a comprehensive victory they now proceed to the final against Dublin.
The U14’s played Abbeydorney at Frank Sheehy Park last Sunday winning on a final scoreline of 1-04 to 1-02.  They have two games remaining in this group and are confident of a semi final spot after some great performances in recent weeks.
On Thursday they travel to Kilcummin who are level on points with Listowel at the top of the table along with Dr. Crokes and Kenmare, an exciting game is assured.
Gaelic4Mothers and Others: Last Saturday 11 women from Listowel travelled to Mourneabbey outside Mallow to join in excess of 200 more to participate in the annual Munster Gaelic4mothers and Other blitz. With only 4 training sessions completed they had a fantastic time playing other teams from Mourneabbey, Ballyporeen (Tipperary), Drom Inch (Tipperary) and Cloyne (Cork). The ladies returned back to the town of Listowel  for some light refreshments and to reflect on a fantastic day. For many it was their first time ever to play in an organised game of Ladies football and already they are planning for the next Blitz.  Their group meetings and trainings takes place every Thursday from 8-9  in St. Michaels College and new members are always welcome. For more information contact Ann: 087 9691324.
Adult Fixtures:  Next Saturday Listowel Emmets Ladies will travel to Clonakilty to defend their Intermediate 7’s title which they won their last year. They will join 21 other teams who will play in the 3rd Annual Munster 7’s Competition. Here’s hoping for success for the Listowel girls for a third year in a row.
