2012 North Kerry U-21 Championship Semi-Final
Listowel Emmets 0-14
Moyvane/Tarbert/Clounmacon 1-09
This game was played in perfect conditions in Ballylongford last Saturday. Both sides served up a very entertaining contest. Listowel started brightly but they were dealt a huge blow after 5 minutes when Michéal Lynch had to go off with an ankle injury. Kerry Senior panellist Conor Cox was in inspirational form for Listowel kicking over 6 points in the first half. Jake Moriarty, Bryan Murphy and David Keane also added a point each. Danny Wren scored a goal to keep Moyvane/Tarbert/Clounmacon very much in the game as half time approached. Listowel had a 3-point lead at Half Time.
Half Time Score: Listowel Emmets 0-09 Moyvane/Tarbert/Clounmacon 1-03
The 2nd half of this game provided some great passages of football. Moyvane/Tarbert/Clounmacon got stuck in and played with a greater determination. They narrowed the gap to just a point but they could never get it back to level term as the brilliant Conor Cox kicked over 5 second half points to ensure that Listowel Emmets will go on to meet St. Senan’s in the final. Moyvane/Tarbert/Clounmacon can be very proud of their gallant effort. Conor Cox finished the game with an amazing 11 points and he deserves great credit for a brilliant display.

Listowel Emmets Ladies
Listowel Emmets Ladies opened the 2013 season with a comprehensive victory in the local derby against Finuge/St. Senan's played in Frank Sheehy Park on Sunday last. Listowel were without a few of the more senior players due to injury and unavailability but younger players like Rebecca Horgan, Ciara Gallagher, Sarah O'Brien and Savanna McCarthy all performed very well. Finuge/St. Senan's were very strong on the ball and around the tackle and were lead from the centre by Kerry star Louise Galvin. Playing against the wind in the first half Listowel got some early goals but these were quickly answered by goals at the other end. However in the second half Listowel dominated and ran out easy winners in the end.
The senior team will participate for the first time in the Páidí Ó Sé tournament on Saturday 23rd February and will play Parnell's of London at 12.00 P.M. in Ballyrickard. Parnell's are the reigning 2012 intermediate All-Ireland Champions and the Listowel girls will have to perform very well to progress to the next phase of this tournament.
The Come and Try programme for 2013 began last week with a great attendance. This programme is for all girls aged 6-12 who have not played Ladies Football before. The fun training sessions take place every Thursday in St Michaels College from 6-7.00 P.M. €2 per person per session.

The annual awards night will take place this Sunday, February 24th in the clubhouse for all U8 to U16 teams from 2012. Anyone who wishes to register their child for 2013 can do so at the awards night from 6.00 P.M. where coaches and officers will be on hand to answer all queries.
