Fixtures & Results

North Kerry Championship

Emmets had a good win over Beale in the U16 semi final played on Sunday last in Finuge. In a close tight game Emmets scooped a two point victory over their rivals on a scoreline of Emmets 3-9 Beale 1-13 . Best of luck to the boys and management in the final

Emmets and Senan's met in the quarter final of north Kerry Championship last in Moyvane. Senan's young guns were well up for the game and excellent point taking from Sean O'Connell saw them go in at the break a point ahead 0-6 to 0-5. Emmets were slow to get started but Conor Cox pointed a free which was followed by a Sean O'Connell free and a good point from play by Darragh Kennelly of Senan's. In the next movement of play Noel Kennelly linked well with McGuire and Galvin to see his shot at goal come off the keeper to the waiting Sean O'Mahony who slotted it over the bar. O'Connell continued to punish Emmets defence to insure his side went in up at the break

On the resumption Noel Kennelly pointed a free to even up the game once again, however Brendan Whelan continued to send in good quality ball to his forward line who had the better of Emmets defence. Kennelly got more into the game and linked well with Cox who like O'Connell punished the Senan's defence with his free taking. Both teams will be happy with the draw, Emmets had their chances in the closing minutes of the game to win it. Jack McGuire did well while Shane Quinn, Ger McCarthy and John Heaphy got on a lot of ball.
