Listowel Emmets Ladies

Listowel Emmets Junior Ladies captured the Division 4 County Shield last Friday evening in Ballyduff where they defeated Causeway on a scoreline of 4-05 to 2-04. They went in at half time down three points after playing with the wind. A much improved second half performance helped by goals from Joanne Fitzgerald and Aisling Grimes and some excellent points from Savannah Mc Carthy allowed Emmets to push ahead. Some great defending saw Causeway only score one point in the second half with Heather O Rourke giving a girl of the match display at centre back. Well done to all the girls and management.

U14’s continued on their winning ways in the County League Div 2 with a brilliant win over Kenmare in Listowel last Saturday evening on a scoreline of 4-11 to 1-02. Great displays by all the girls who are really responding to the excellent coaching of Breda Lane and Miriam O Keeffe and the management. The hospitality shown to the Kenmare players, mentors and parents after the game went down well with the travelling contingent. Well done Paula, Amy and Leah.

U12’s had a great trip to the Community Games in Rathmore last weekend where they got bronze. This weekend they were away to Castleisland were they lost on a score of 7-05 to 2-04. Thank you to all the supporters who came to the game and to the parents for getting the girls there.

Under 8’s /10’s have their first game of the season away to Kerins O’ Rahilly’s on Sunday May 20th at 11 A.M.. Parents are asked to help with transport on the day.

The U14’s play their next game away to Ballyduff next weekend. U16’s have outstanding North Kerry match against Castleisland to be played shortly. Training for senior and juniors will continue this week for upcoming competitions.
