Listowel Emmets and Clounmacon took to the field in Franky Sheehy Park in what was going to be a well anticipated game and enthralling affair.
On the resumption Emmets went ahead with a goal from Rici Hanley who punched the ball to the back of the net. Another point for Emmets and they led by 2. However, this was going to be the last score for Emmets for almost 20 minutes. In this third period Clounmacon kicked on and a goal from Paudie Quinn followed by four unanswered points left Emmets with a lot to do. A final point by Darren Halpin left four between the teams but Clounmacon had the final say of the night and left the final score Clounmacon 1-10 Listowel 1-5.

County Senior League Div 1: Emmets Seniors had a fantastic win over Waterville away in Waterville on Sunday last on a score line of 1-10 to 0-10 in the County League. Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half, Emmets went in at half time 3 points up thanks to a goal from Micheal Stack and strong defensive work by the 6 backs especially Brendan Guiney, Ger McCarthy and Jack McGuire and some excellent free taking from the industrious Conor Cox. Waterville got on top in the opening quarter of the second half but with Brian McGuire commanding midfield against a strong Waterville pairing it gave the Emmets forwards especially Conor Cox and Noel Kennelly enough of ball who duly converted. Hard work from Maurice Whelan, Cormac Mulvihill and Brendan Guiney ensured a well earned victory. Overall this was a great win away from home, considering Emmets were missing 5 from their regular panel. Emmets are next out in the Intermediate Championship which will take place on Saturday 26th April at 6.30pm at home to Keel, please note date of fixture.

Listowel Emmets hosted Southern Gaels in Frank Sheehy Park in a Division 1 County League fixture. From the start Southern Gaels were strong on the ball with a number of their senior players to the fore. This saw them build an early lead with them leading 2-4 to 0-3 at half time. In the second half Listowel tried hard but were unable to make inroads into the score difference. In the end Southern Gaels won on a score line of 4-9 to 0-7, with Miriam O Keeffe kicking all the Listowel scores. Strong performances from Deirdre Corridon, Amy Fitzgerald, Linda Cronin from Southern Gaels were matched by Breda Lane, Aoife Shine and Norma O Sullivan from Listowel and overall Southern Gaels deserved their win and the margin of victory did not flatter them as they kicked a lot of wides in the second half. Team: Kate Sayers, Louise Horgan, Lauren Flavin, Aoife Shine, Breda Lane, Mary Beades, Norma O Sullivan, Caoimhe O Sullivan, Sarah Moriarty, Miriam O Keeffe, Marguerite Flaherty, Sarah O’Brien, Fiona Buckley. Subs used: Catherine Flavin, Emma Thornton, Mamie O Flynn, Doireann Tarrant, Megan Fealey and Claire Kennelly.
