Listowel Emmets Ladies
U8s and U10's
It was a busy weekend for these age groups. On Saturday 7th the U8s played a blitz hosted by Duagh where they played Duagh, Ballymac and Moyvane. The girls had a great time and would like to thank Duagh for their hospitality and for the chance to show off their skills. Also on Saturday the U10’s played Moyvane in a challenge thanks to Moyvane for a great game.
 
On Sunday 8th the U8s and 10s played in the Jim Corridan Tournament. Emmets Ladies were the only all girls teams to play and held their winning two of the four games they played on the day. Thanks to Emmets Coiste Na nÓg for the day.
 
On Sept 14th the U8’s and U10’s will travel to Mungret Co. Limerick to take part in an U8 and U10s blitz giving the girls the chance to play games against teams from different counties and make new friends within the LGFA.
 
U12’s: The eagerly awaited U12’s end of year trip is nearly ready for take off.  On Saturday 14th they will travel to Ennis to play Doora Barefield, the girls will stop on route for breakfast and Simon’s world famous bus quiz will take place. On return form the Banner County the girls will visit the Delta Adventure Centre in Limerick. Have a great days girls!!!
 
U14's had a win over Abbeydorney in the NK League Div.1B. Corca Duibhne, Na Gaeil and John Mitchels are ahead of them in the coming weeks.
U15's: The girls were down to play Rathmore last night Tuesday 10th we hope they done the business.
U16's: The U16's will play Castleisland on Friday in the North Kerry League time and venue TBC.
 
Senior's: Listowel Emmets seniors were awarded the North Kerry league as Austin Stacks gave a walkover. It was disappointing that the final was not played and the team have the final of the County League to look forward to against Southern Gaels.
Commiserations to Breda Lane and the Kerry team that lost to Cork in the All Ireland Semi Final.

Coaches meeting: Thanks to all coaches for attending the meeting last Sunday. It was a very constructive meeting covering how teams faired over the year and aims and suggestions for 2014.
 
Kerry Ladies 5K: Well done to Mary Beades O'Brien, Kate Sayers, Sarah O'Brien and Mai O'Flynn on winning the best dressed team at the Kerry Ladies 5K Fun Run at Crag Cave Castleisland on Sunday last.
