Fixtures & Results
Emmets U12's: Listowel Emmets U12 A team were crowned Division one winners of this year's County Go Games Series.
Emmets finished jointed first with Austin Stacks on 10 points, but Emmets had a greater score difference so they have ended up in the top spot. This year had a new inititative take place with games conducted as a 11 a side game with all subsititutes to be introduced at half time. Emmets missing some regular team footballers were defeated in their first game by Stacks but picked themselves up and won every game in the league format after that. Well done to all the players and manager Mark Loughnane and his selectors on a great campaigne.

Emmets B team did equally well in the competition finishing second to joint winners Stacks B and Spa B, the B team won 4 out of their 6 games and well done to Manager Bernard Costello and his selectors.

Emmets C team finished up in second place to Spa C in the county league after many good victorious, well done to all players and manager Patsy McCarthy.

The U12s also travelled to Kilmacud Crokes at the weekend where they were defeated in the final by Ballyfermot in a great game of end to end football. Emmets had won their three previous games, loosing players to the injury going into the final didn't help but it takes nothing from the Dublin sides win. A huge thank you to the Kilmacud Crokes for organising a most enjoyable day for players and spectators a like.

Emmets Juniors:

Emmets B team were defeated at home by John Mitchel's on Friday night last in Listowel by a goal they next meet with Austin Stacks B away on Friday 3rd June at 7.30pm.

Emmets Seniors:

Emmets missing a few regulars travelled to Milltown on Sunday last in round 5 of the county league. Emmets started well with two goal chances before Conor Cox pointed to put Emmets in front. Paudie Buckley and Darren Halpin did well to contain the milltown midfield with Aengus Fitzgerald, Denis Walsh and John Heaphy hassling hard and winning good ball, while the inside forward line did well to convert scores, with Conor Cox a constant danger inside the small square. Milltown still stayed well within in reach of the visitors with Twiss and Murphy taking good scores. With 8 minutes left in the opening half, Buckley and walsh combined well with Kennelly who hit a low rasping shot to the back of the Milltown net, Milltown knocked over another half before the whistle went leaving half time score Emmets 1-04 Milltown Castlemaine 0-5.

Milltown threw everything at Emmets in the opening ten minutes of the second half but tenascious defending by the entire Emmets back lines meant scores were hard to come by, Milltown did however goal after a shot from Derek Twiss who rounded his man and shot low to the corner of the net. Milltown began to look like they were begining to dominate at center field but cheer hard graft and effort by the Listowel half back and forward lines meant they were not going to give up without a battle. Kieran O'Connor in a great movement of play linked well with Jack McGuire and John Heaphy and hit a rasping shot past Joe Daly to drive Emmets in front once again. With 10 minutes left to go both teams closed down and looked for the vital score, Emmets found one from Conor Cox and with that after a long wait finally Emmets registered their first win in Division two. This was a huge team effort from the 17 lads that showed up in milltown, backs were against the wall, each of them came out fighting, well done to all involved. Final Score Emmets 2-7 Milltown Castlemaine 1-8. A speedy recovery to Brian Scanlan who picked up and injury in the second half. Emmets next meet St. Pat's at home on Saturday 26th June.
