Emmets B had two points to spare over a strong Duagh side at the final whistle on Thursday night last (2nd Aug) in Finuge. Emmets found themselves three points down in the opening quarter but a goal from Eddie Joe Walsh tied up things and it was nip and tuck from there to the break with Duagh leading by three. On the resumption David Enright saw his attempt at goal rebound off the keeper and where his second attempt finished nicely to the back of the net. Emmets continued to work hard with Richard Horgan doing well at midfield, Rici Hanley took some good scores from play, tenacious defending by the Emmets full back line helped secure victory with good performances by Tom Rahilly, John James Buckley and Jake Moriarty. Final Score Emmets B 2-7 Duagh B 1-8. Emmets now meet Moyvane in the semi final in Coolard on Thursday night next (9th Aug) at 7.30pm. This is a game that will be all to play for as these two sides met in the final of the North Kerry League earlier in the year.
