Round 1: Listowel Emmets B v Moyvane B in Moyvane on Tuesday 1st April 6.30pm
Result: Emmets 3-13 Moyvane 2-10
The game started at a frantic pace with both teams really up for this one. Eddie Joe Walsh from play and John James Buckley (2 frees) kicked Listowel in front with a 3 point advantage. However Moyvane came storming back 3 unanswered scores. Points continued to be exchanged in the opening 20 mins until two blows inflicted by Moyvane in the form of two goals put the home side up by 5 points. Listowel clawed it back to two to leave Moyvane leading at the interval.
The home side went further ahead at the start of the first half with two unanswered points. However a well taken goal by Listowel corner forward Ricky Hanley left Listowel trailing by 1. Points from Shane Quinn, John James Buckley, Eddie Joe and Ricky Halpin put Listowel in a strong position. Moyvane in turn popped over 2 points in return However, a second goal from livewire Ricky Hanley proved a killer blow for Moyvane. While the home side kept plugging away and a fine save from Listowel keeper Keith Hughes kept them out a third and final goal by Listowels  Ricky Halpin was the final nail in the coffin for Moyvane. Listowel ran out winners and while the scoreline says differently this was a tight affair. Best for Listowel were Shane Quinn, Conor O Neill and Ricky Hanley who gave the Moyvane backs a hard time of it.

Round 2: Listowel Emmets B v Clounmacon in Listowel on Tuesday 8th April at 6.45pm
Result: Emmets 1-05 Clounmacon 1-10

Listowel Emmets and Clounmacon took to the field in Franky Sheehy Park in what was going to be a well anticipated game and enthralling affair.
Clounmacon got off to a better start when they kicked 2 points clear after the opening few minutes. Emmets fired back with points from Rici Hanley, Eddie Joe Walsh and Davy Keane. While Clounmacon dominated the opening half Emmets went into the break only 2 points a drift, on a score of 0-5 - 0-3 in favour of the visitors.

On the resumption Emmets went ahead with a goal from Rici Hanley who punched the ball to the back of the net. Another point for Emmets and they led by 2. However, this was going to be the last score for Emmets for almost 20 minutes. In this third period Clounmacon kicked on and a goal from Paudie Quinn followed by four unanswered points left Emmets with a lot to do. A final point by Darren Halpin left four between the teams but Clounmacon had the final say of the night and left the final score Clounmacon 1-10 Listowel 1-5.

Round 3: Listowel Emmets B v Ballydonoghue B in Coolard on Tuesday 15th April at 7pm
Result: Emmets B 1-15 Ballydonoghue B 1- 10
Listowel travelled to Coolard on a beautiful Tuesday evening last to take on Ballydonoghue in the 3rd round of the NKL. Ballydonoghue played with the wind in the first half down into the dressing room end. They started well and after a number of minutes had opened the scoring to 2 points to no score. Listowel fired back with pointed frees (2) by Eddie Joe Walsh. Ballydonoghue kicked over 6 more points in the first half, however points from Conor O Neill Dave Keane and Eddie Joe (2) left Listowel trailing 8 - 6 at the break.
The second half got under way with a good start from the young Listowel outfit with Ricky Halpin Eddie Joe (3) and Dave Keane adding 5 points to the board leaving Listowel 3 ahead. Listowel then kicked on when Ricky Halpin hit the net with a blistering bottom corner finish.  However the Emmets didn't have it all there own way when Ballydonghue went up the field and kicked a great point followed by a well taken goal leaving Listowel 2 points clear. Further points from Darragh Leahy, Shane Quinn and two more from the unrelenting Eddie Joe Walsh Listowel kicked on and won by 5 points.
Best for Listowel were Darragh Broderick, Jake Moriarty and the marathon runner Eddie Joe Walsh who finished with a personal tally of 8 points. Next up for Emmets is Castleisland Desmonds next Tuesday night in Franky Sheehy Park.

Round 4: Listowel Emmets B V Desmonds B in Listowel on Tuesday 22nd April at 7pm
Result: Listowel Emmets B 3-17 Desmonds B 0-7
Listowel Junior b team took on Castleisland Desmonds in Listowel on Tuesday night last in the fourth round of the North Kerry league. Desmonds started the better of the two sides with kicking two good points within the first 5 minutes. However Listowel came right back into it with a well taken goal by Darragh Leahy. Further points from Eddie Joe Walsh Rici Hanley and Dave Keane left Listowel ahead by 1-4 to 2 points. A second first half goal and further points from Darragh Leahy, Dave Keane Eddie Joe Walsh and Jerry Kelliher left Listowel ahead at half time by 2-9 to 3 points.
From the start of the second half Listowel never stop pressing forward and the introduction of Darragh Hughes made a significant influence on the game. A great team effort by Listowel worked up from the backs where the ball was coolly slotted into the net by Hughes put a final nail in the Desmonds coffin. Listowel kicked on from here and kicked point after point to run out comfortable winners at 3-17 to 7 points.  On the night Listowel were the better team however Desmonds had travelled with a weakened side and were up against it from the word go.
Best on the day for Listowel were Ricky Halpin, Darragh Leahy, Jerry Kelleher and Darragh Hughes who finished with a personal tally of 1-5 from play when coming on in the second half.

Round 5: Listowel Emmets B  V Tarbert B in Tarbert on Tuesday 29th April at 7pm
Result: Listowel Emmets B 3-12 Tarbert B 2-7
Semi Final: Listowel Emmets B V Moyvane B in Ballylongford on Tuesday 6th May at 7.30pm
Result: Listowel Emmets B 1-16 Moyvane B 0-05
The NKL semi final between Listowel Emmets and Moyvane took place Tuesday night in Ballylongford with the eventual winners to play in the final against Claunmacon or Ballydonoghue.
Moyvane won the toss and played with the aid of a strong wind in the first half. However it was the Listowel team who took up the challenge and went on the attack. Points from Ricky Halpin, Eddie Joe Walsh and Dave Keane put Listowel in front after 10 mins on a score of 4 points to 3. Moyvane were beginning to make use of the wind at this stage and some long ranged efforts kept them well in contention. However, a goal from the determined Dave Keane and further points from Ricky Halpin  gave Listowel a cushion of a lead. The Listowel backs were getting on top of their men and helped Listowel to a good lead at half time.
On resumption of the second half Listowel started where they left off and a fine point by Darragh Leahy had Listowel leading by 1-8 to 4 points. Emmets didn't have it their own way and a well kicked free by Moyvane gave them a slither of hope. This eventually turned out to be Moyvanes last score of the game as Listowel began to dominate. Ricky Halpin proving to be too strong for Moyvane kicked another 2 beautiful points and Shane Quinn coming up from centre back were putting the icing on the cake for Listowel. Jerry Kelliher, John Heaphy, Darragh Hughes and Jamies Barry kicked over the last few scores for Listowel with the scoreline finishing 1-16 to 0-4.
Best for Listowel on the night were Ricky Halpin, Darragh Broderick, Graeme Tarrant. Listowel now await the winners of the other semi final in what will be an enthralling final no doubt.

Emmets C Team captained by Padraig Thornton captured the Division 5 North Kerry League on Thursday night 15th May after a big win over Brosna B. Emmets were solid from the start and goals from Rici Hanley in the first half left the half time score Emmets C 2-05 Brosna 0-03. Emmets continued their dominance in the second half further goals from Hanley, Derek Dillon and Jason O'Connor ensured victory. Final Score: Emmets C 6-10 Brosna B 0-07. Well done to Team Managers John J Buckley and Mike Dalton and all the players involved.
